Meet QUINN and ZOE with their amazing mum, Jacky!
Quinn (Kelpie) and Zoe (Maremma cross) have come such a long way since we started together. They both grew up on the farm and lived quite independent lives, so that listening to their family was not really important to them. They also had inbuilt fears of anything new like leashes or the car, so that taking them into town seemed to be an impossibility.
But their family would love to be able to take them to the beach and into town and trust that they will still listen and not fuss, pull on the leads and ignore them.
And it’s all starting to happen!
Quinn now loves to come (although he is still learning to come back when his chase drive kicks in) and Zoe has learned that people are relevant!
Their wariness of the car and of their leads has been overcome to the extent that they can now jump into the car when cued to!
When they first saw shops, lots of cars, people and trucks in early January, they whined and couldn’t cope. Now, a few weeks later, they are able to relax and fully focus on Jacky and respond to her cues in this environment.
Congratulations to you all so far! There is a lot yet to be achieved, but the foundations that are laid are going to get you fabulous results!
Look out for updates on these beautiful dogs!
